WILLIAM TARA | 1970's Boho Girl Signed Lithograph | Illustration Art Print

$75.00
Bring some bohemian chic to your space with this vintage illustration of a 1970s boho girl with long wavy black hair in an earthy, hippie-styled headscarf.

The lithograph has artist William Tara’s signature in pencil on the bottom right.

William Tara was born on July 4, 1916, and sadly died penniless in 1973 in the VA Hospital, Los Angeles, California.

Bill was a very good graphic artist. Unfortunately, he was a very poor businessman. He created many lithography masters for commercial retail sales while employed for various firms as a movie director, animator, and graphic artist. Some of his best works were his line drawings (lithos) and on his early lithos, Bill would hand watercolor them and sign them in pencil.

Tara's most desired works are this unusual style of minimalistic, geometric line drawings featuring beautiful watercolored ethnic women as the focal point of the work.

This lithograph was found unframed and was placed in a complimenting wooden frame with black matting and an acrylic cover to protect the art and reduce the possibility of damage during delivery.
