This carved wooden duck figurine is trimmed with fine metalwork craftsmanship.

The wings are a checkerboard pattern of brass and copper, embellished with an engraved trim, all fastened with small brass nails.

The same engraved trim is found around the duck's neck, and just below, on the chest is a lovely sun-shaped brass detail. The eyes are made of copper, and the beak is made of solid brass.

On the bottom of the duck is a sticker in dutch, which translated to English says, "Schouteet Specialist Shop for Art and Copper Ironwork Walplein 11 - 8000 Brugge"

The rustic craftsmanship of old-style copper working adds warmth and charm, making this little duck a great vintage decor piece.
