Extremely Rare Artist Proof of a beautiful, black-haired woman wearing a long flowing kimono-type dress, surrounded by two brightly colored exotic birds with long curled tail feathers in front of a vivid yellow and orange background. This is an exquisite example of mid-century psychedelic art, with intense blocks of vibrant colors, and Art Nouveau inspired curvilinear shapes.

This print comes matted and framed in what appears to be a period frame from the time of production. The lacquered wood frame does have some chipping on the top rear edge as shown in the photos.

About the Artist:
Piacente was born in Florence, Italy. Her parents were well-known successful artists. Her early training at home soon established her as one of Italy's finest artists. Her formal training was in Europe. She arrived in the United States in 1970. Her training continued after her arrival. She attended the Fine Art Academy in Florence, Italy, Ecole Boulle in Paris, France, and Art Students League in New York City. Her works have been exhibited at Gallerie Norvoe in Paris, Tornio Gallery in Helsinki, and Creative Hands Gallery in Pennsylvania.
