Beautiful large streetscape (perhaps Venice) from the Italian artist D'Amico.

There are some nice areas of impasto throughout, and it has a faded bio paper on the back of the painting which reads:

D'Amico - Born in Bergamo, Italy in 1923. He graduated from the Academy D1 Cararra in Bergamo. At the age of 15, he obtained the 1st prize in a collective exhibit for young artists in Milan. 1945 he received a gold medal in a collective exhibit in Monza. In 1948 he received a Diploma-Aristica in a national exhibit in Rome.

The bottom center placard reads "D'Amico"

There are some moisture stains to the linen matting, but apart from that, it is in excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of wear to the painting or the wooden frame. View the photos for the best representation of the item.

This wonderful painting is a lovely snapshot of 20th century Italy for viewing and it is prewired on the back and ready to hang.
